WHAT CAUSES STRETCH MARKS?

Stretch marks are a common occurrence and many people especially woman bound to experience it at some point in their life. During periods of rapid growth or weight gain, fine lines may begin to form on the body due to the skin being overstretched. This occurs because the skin collagen is disrupted, leading to connective tissue not growing as it should. The dermal and epidermal tearing comes about as a result of this, with the skin not being as elastic as it should be.

Aside from puberty, you are also likely to experience stretch marks during pregnancy or if there is a history of stretch marks within your family.

HOW CAN IT BE TREATED?

Using the new technology of Fractional Laser Resurfacing (Lux1540, non-ablative), stretch marks are easy to treat.

HOW DOES IT WORKS?

Fractional Laser Resurfacing uses laser energy micro beams to break down skin tissue through the epidermis into the dermis. The body’s natural healing process creates new, healthy tissue to replace the areas of affected tissue, resulting in lighter scar colour, and a more even skin texture.

No visible wound is created and makeup can be applied immediately.

FRACTIONAL SKIN RESURFACING CAN IMPROVE THE APPEARANCE OF:

  • Acne scars
  • Surgical scars
  • Enlarge pore size
  • Skin tone and texture
  • Wrinkles
  • Age spots and Sun damage
  • Stretch mark (This technology is the first to receive FDA-approval for treating Stretch mark)
